Meggido - In the Jezreel Valley - seen here from Mt Gilboa - the site of many battles in the past, and Armageddon  ( Har Meggido - the hill of Meggido ) for the final battle.

In August, 1985, a congress was organized by Christians in Basel, Switzerland,. The second zionist congress was organized in the same room where the first Zionist congress was held by the Jews in 1897. 589 delegates from 27 nations attended to this congress that came true with a big rate of participation. However, this congress was a lot different from the first congress organized by Theodor Herzl. All participants of the first Zionist congress were all Jewish; however, the participants of the second one were mostly Christians. There were just a few Jews, because this congress was the 1st Christian Zionist Congress, and it was organized by Jerusalem International Embassy of Christianity and a major part of the participants were Christians. Several critical resolutions were passed as a result of the congress that lasted three days. These resolutions included supporting and encouraging the Jews of the entire World to immigrate into Israel. Moreover, a request for Israel to officially annex the West Bank invaded by Israel in 1967 was expressed. In short, Christian Zionists wanted to accelerate possession of the promised land by Jewish State established in the Palestine . In the meantime, a moderate Israeli stood up from his back row seat and said that it would be better to soften the expression in the last sentence, because two-thirds of Israeli people opposed to annexation of the West Bank. Van der Hoeven, representative of International Christianity Embassy, who went crazy upon hearing that, yelled out the following:

I do not care what Israelis say, what I care about is what God said. and God says that territory is the property of the Jews.”

What lied beneath of this thinking that astonishes the one? What happened to these people who never thought that Jews had the Promised Land until 1600s, expected Christ to return to the face of earth and hated the Jews? While Evangelical had become so fanatic about Jews, . what do the Jews think about the Christians when they establish their utopic world? Let’s quote from a very important source on this issue, “Jewish Utopia” by Prof. Michael Higger, a Jew :

“Israel shall be a proof of the absolute Union of God. Finally, in the ideal era, there will be no one left who believes there will be two or more Gods or God will be a human being . In the ideal world, there will be only those human beings who believe in God left”, yet Christians says, “it is the Jews who will suffer (except for 144.000 ) , and the remainder shall believe Christ is God and will reach salvation.” We will see what God will give us. Robert H. Williams, the author of the book entitled “”Ultimate World Order”, in page 64, evaluates the foregoing as follows, “this is a massive slap on the TRINITY traditionally accepted by the Christians .”

Let the Evangelical people search for a new land for the Jews. What is the basis of this belief in the official Holy Bible? Didn’t anyone mention about the return of the Jews to the promised land before arrival of Jesus Christ? If they knew about it, did the Christian world ignore such reality until 1600s? Although complex in nature, we had examined the expressions about return of Jesus Christ to the face of earth as specified in the Holy Bible. Although dates about return of Jesus Christ conflict with one another in the Holy Bibles, the Holy Bible expresses that Jesus Christ will return. The detailed description of this return is available in the first three Bibles called Synoptic Bibles:

“24:3 As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

24:7 For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places

24:15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation– spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

24:16 then those in Judea must flee to the mountains

24:21 For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen

24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect

24:29 “Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.

24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

24:36 “But as for that day and hour no one knows it – not even the angels in heaven53 – except the Father alone.” (Matthew)

Matta Bible says, as a part of these descriptions, that Jesus Christ shall judge all the humans following this return. In addition to such descriptions, Luka Bble says that Jerusalem and temple shall be destroyed and the Jews shall be exiled:

“21:20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near

21:24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led away as captives among all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 21:32 I tell you the truth,76 this generation77 will not pass away until all these things take place.” (Luke)

We should remember a significant detail contained in letters of Pavlus, one of the first written texts of the Bible :

“4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.” (1.Thessalonians)

Although the dates of return for Jesus Christ are not consistent, promise of return is the basis of expectations about Jesus Christ and Armageddon. Rumors about Armageddon are mentioned in John’s Divine Inspiration, the last part of Bible: 16:14 For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth46 to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All-Powerful.47

“16:15 (Look! I will come like a thief!

Blessed is the one who stays alert and does not lose his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful condition be seen.)

16:16 Now the spirits gathered the kings and their armies to the place that is called Armageddon in Hebrew.” (Revelation)

Then, prophecy about a great earthquake and demolition of Babel appears. In the divine Revelation parts 19:11-21, JESUS CHRIST, king of the kings, lands on earth on a white horse and sky armies on white horses again land together with him defeat the armies of the kings who are together with the beast. In the subsequent parts, an angel prisons the devil somewhere for one thousand years.

Then, those believers who did not worship the devil, witnessed Jesus Christ and observed the words of God will resurrect and they shall reign together with Jesus Christ for one thousand years:

“20:1 Then I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain.

20:2 He seized the dragon – the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan – and tied him up for a thousand years.

20:3 The angel then threw him into the abyss and locked and sealed it so that he could not deceive the nations until the one thousand years were finished. (After these things he must be released for a brief period of time.)

20:4 Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”(Revelation)

The base of the Armageddon prophecies is the foregoing expressions. Of course, it may be normal for all Christians to expect such prophecies to come true in order for the Christians who were beheaded due to “witnessing the Jesus Christ and observation of the God’s words ” to resurrect and reign for one thousand years. The first four bibles also mention about such return. But, nowhere in the Bibles, establishment of a Jewish State in Palestine is mentioned and there is no expression as to obligation of re-establishing the Solomon’s Temple. Only Torah contains some expressions about return of Jews from exile to Palestine upon arrival of Jesus Christ and establishment of a State:

4:6 “In that day,” says the Lord, “I will gather the lame, and assemble the outcasts whom I injured.

4:7 I will transform the lame into the nucleus of a new nation, and those far off into a mighty nation. The Lord will reign over them on Mount Zion, from that day forward and forevermore.”

4:8 As for you, watchtower for the flock, fortress of Daughter Zion – your former dominion will be restored, the sovereignty that belongs to Daughter Jerusalem”(Torah-Micah)

Similar expressions are also available in Ezekiel-11:16-17, Isaiah-11:12, Jeremiah-23:5-6, 27:12, Daniel-7:13-14, Zechariah-8:7-9. There is only one Messiah who is expected to come in the Bibles and it is for sure that Jesus Christ is Messiah. There is only one purpose for his return. This purpose is to punish those who do not believe in Messiah and save those believing in him. These people he will save include only 144.000 Jews. So, this Messiah who is expected is not coming to ESTABLISH A JEWISH STATE IN PALESTINE, RE-ESTABLISH THE SOLOMON’S TEMPLE AND SAVE THE JEWS. The Messiahs mentioned in the Torah are always expected to collect Jews in exile in Palestine, the Promised Land, and to establish a Jewish State based in Jerusalem. Also, Messiah mentioned in Torah is not a second birth of a prominent leader who passed away. The Messiah mentioned in Torah is a leader who will be born for the first time. Also, Torah does not only mention about a single Messiah who will come for only one time. Messiahs mentioned in Torah include the saviors expected during the era of exile and destruction as a result of invasion of Babylonians and Assyrians which the Jews suffered from. When looking into the definition of the expected Messiahs mentioned in the Torah, we will see that the basis of these prophecies seek to create a hope of salvation and comfort the Jews who suffered from these invasions. The prophets such as Isaiah, Micah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah who tried to encourage the Jews to fight with an expectation of the Messiah during the invasions of Babylonians and Assyrians lived in those times . The most important prophecies about end of time (Judgement Day), arrival of Messiah and Armageddon mentioned in the Holy Bible are the ones contained in Daniel Book of Torah:

“7:13 I was watching in the night visions, “And with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man was approaching. He went up to the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.

7:14 To him was given ruling authority, honor, and sovereignty. All peoples, nations, and language groups were serving him.His authority is eternal and will not pass away. His kingdom will not be destroyed.(Daniel)

Daniel peygamberin kitabında, zamanın sonu ve Mesih’in gelmesiyle ilgili örtülü kehanetlerle olay iyice gizemli bir hal almıştır:

9:22 He spoke with me, instructing me as follows: “Daniel, I have now come to impart understanding to you.

9:23 At the beginning of your requests a message went out, and I have come to convey it to you, for you are of great value in God’s sight. Therefore consider the message and understand the vision:

9:24 “Seventy weeks have been determined concerning your people and your holy city to put an end to rebellion, to bring sin to completion, to atone for iniquity, to bring in perpetual righteousness, to seal up the prophetic vision, and to anoint a most holy place.

9:25 So know and understand: From the issuing of the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until an anointed one, a prince arrives, there will be a period of seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will again be built, with plaza and moat, but in distressful times.

9:26 Now after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one will be cut off and have nothing. As for the city and the sanctuary, the people of the coming prince will destroy them. But his end will come speedily like a flood.Until the end of the war that has been decreed there will be destruction.

9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one week. But in the middle of that week he will bring sacrifices and offerings to a halt.On the wing of abominations will come one who destroys, until the decreed end is poured out on the one who destroys.”(Daniel)

Today, Armageddon Prophecies were built on what is written on the last Book of Holy Bible using the foregoing encrypted words of Daniel. According to Evangelicals who interpreted the expressions for expectation of a Messiah, as laid out in the Jewish and Christian Holy Books, God has two plans, one for the Evangelicals and one for the Jews. This plan called Messiah plan is about after death for the Christians and is worldly for the Jews. Since the other with other beliefs do not believe in Messiah, they are not important at all in respect of God. The worldly plan of God for the Jews foresees that Jews will come back to the Promised Lands and establish the Israel State to rule the world. According to Evangelicals, this is the promise of God for the Jews contained in Torah, and it is a prophecy that needs to come true as soon as possible so that Messiah will come back. Finally, God will give the Evangelic Christians the heaven where they will live together with the Messiah. The reason for extraordinary sympathy of Evangelist Christians for Jews and Israel and alliance of Evangelism-Zionism is this belief. Upon arrival of Messiah, Evangelicals and Jews will be on one side and the others will be on the other side and a big war , that is , Armageddon will be fought between two sides and Jews and Evangelicals led by Jesus Christ shall win the battle and rule the world. The reason for extraordinary sympathy of Evangelist Christians for Jews and Israel and alliance of Evangelism-Zionism is this belief.
